Mother and Child, Venus, and Jupiter

I was invited to a stranger's birthday party. The venue was Poolside, and I thought I could sit on an outdoor chair and gaze at the sky, so I went there on my motorcycle.
Since it was outdoors during both daylight and twilight, I set the focus to infinity and tried blind shooting.
I pressed the shutter just as a mother and child passed by, and luckily, Venus and Jupiter were captured in the photo. It would have been perfect if Mercury had been in the shot as well, but it was better than nothing.
Today's result: 1 out of 34 photos.
The fun part of this project is not knowing what you've captured until you get home and load the photos onto your PC.

I changed the project name to "Blind Shooting." Because it captures not only things you can't see, but also things you overlook.

母子と金星と木星

知らない人の誕生日に招待された。Pool Sideが会場とのことで、野外の椅子に座って空が眺められるなと思い、バイクで出向いた。

明るい時間と薄明の時間に野外なのでFocusを無限遠の位置に合わせてBlind Shootingをしてみた。

ちょうど目の前に母子が通り過ぎたタイミングでシャッターを切った写真に、ちょっとだけラッキーにも金星と木星が写っていた。水星まで写っていれば完全にラッキーだったのがBetter than nothing.

今日の成果は34枚中1枚。

家に帰ってPCに撮影した写真を読み込むまで何が撮れているか解らないのがこのプロジェクトの楽しいところ。

このプロジェクト名を「ブラインド撮影」に変えた。見えないものだけではなく、見過ごしているものも撮れてるからだ。
