Reflection and Emission Nebulae in Auriga　(vdB65, Sh2-241)

The blue reflection nebula vdB65 and the red Emission nebula Sh2-241 in Auriga

Looking at the DSS map, I noticed two beautiful blue and red nebulae nestled together, so I decided to photograph them.
In DSS photos and many other people's photos, the blue reflection nebula vdB65 appears to have a pale white center with blue surroundings, but when I actually photographed it, I discovered that the central nebula is Ha gas, making the center red and white.
This red sphere has been visible in every frame since I photographed Ha, so there's no doubt about it.
This vdB65 resembles a moldy strawberry nebula.
The red Sh2-241 has an interesting shape, with a wide, comet-like tail. It appears even more diffused when photographed with a wide-angle lens.

ぎょしゃ座にある青い反射星雲vdB65と赤い散光星雲Sh2-241

DSSのMapを見ていたら、青と赤の星雲が寄り添ってあり、綺麗だったので撮影してみた。

DSSの写真も他の皆さんが撮影してる多くの写真も青い反射星雲vdB65は中心が白く淡く、周辺に青が広がっている感じだが、実際に撮影してみると中心部にHaのガスがあり中心が赤と白だとわかった。

Haの撮影時から各フレームにこの赤い球が写っているので間違い無いだろう。

このvdB65はカビた苺星雲に似てるな。

赤いSh2-241は彗星のような広い尾がある感じで面白い形をしている。広角で撮影するともっと広く広がっているようだ。
