The Great Bird Cluster (NGC 2301)

This is an open star cluster in the constellation Monoceros
It's a beautiful star cluster that resembles a bird with its wings spread wide and soaring in the sky.
The colors of the stars are a beautiful mix of red and blue.
When framed vertically, it also resembles a cross.

一角獣座にある散開星団。
大きく羽を開いて空を舞う鳥のようで美しい姿の星団だ。
星の色も赤と青が混ざり合い色合いも良い。
縦構図にすると十字架のようでもある。
