The Elephant's Trunk Nebula  (象の鼻) IC1396A,vdB142

A close-up of the elephant's trunk of the popular Elephant's Trunk Nebula.
I took this close-up with HS11 a few years ago, and many others have taken it too.
I started editing with HaOiiiRGB but there was no contrast and it was no good at all.
So I edited the Target with L-HOO, which added a little bit of Lumi.
When I took the photo with HS11, I couldn't make out the faint clouds in front of the dark nebula, but I was able to see them this time.
The catalog number for whole nebula as a whole is IC1396.
The dark nebula that covers the entire Elephant's Trunk is IC1396A.
The nostril part is vdB142.

人気のある星雲の象の鼻星雲のまさに象の鼻の部分のClose-up。
自分でも数年前にもHS11でこのClose-upを撮影してるし、多くの方が撮られている。
HaOiiiRGBで編集を始めたがコントラストがなく全然ダメだった。
よって少しだけLumiを合わせたL-HOOでTargetは編集した。
HS11で撮影した時は暗黒星雲の手前に被る淡い雲が出せなかったが今回は見ることができた。
星雲全体のカタログ番号はIC1396。
その星雲の中にある、この象の鼻全体の暗黒星雲がIC1396A。
鼻の穴の部分がvdB142。
